Just saw this on the other board -- and I'm not at all surprised:
Four days of "relative" quiet (maybe more -- I don't pay that much attention to it)...
And the full-bore whine today. The kind that isn't "masked" by a faucet or anything else. I could blast Molly Hatchet out of the iPod at 130 Db (and I just might) ... but I would hear the metallic whine above everything.
Why?
Well, lessee -- we're both experiencing the same weather. Maybe it's that the temperature skyrocketed and the sun's out! Right.
Maybe it's that I actually slept more than 4 hours last night (for the first time in two weeks)? Maybe. There's a "sleep" component to all of this. But who knows?
Bottom line? There's no answers. I don't give a flying fuck about the alleged claims of research "progress" -- no one really knows anything about this thing.
Impact? Minimal.
I'm very used to this -- it has no impact on what I do, my mood, or how I feel. At worst it's an annoyance. Like many of the annoyances that crop up all the time in life.
I was supposed to go climbing today: One of my partners tore his knee cartilage two weeks ago sail-boarding when he stepped into a ice-fishing hole and he's won't be up for it til the middle of next week. The other one called this morning to tell me he strained his elbow ligament (or tendon) yesterday in a sledding wreck and he's gonna lay off that arm for a week.
Hell -- I'm the only one who's HEALTHY!
Besides, I still haven't gotten around to finishing off that steering gear (which is now lying under the Exploder). So I'll go do that.
And try and give myself a break from all these "expectations" I cart around.
Everybody's got somethin goin on.
Part of life, I guess.
Jak:Exactly the same thing here.
Four days of relative relief. Sunday morning it's back in its full glory.
