The reason I posted Tibetan Sky Burial was to find out just how far I could push the envelope here.

Jurate:...not because this is a topic that particularly interests Sedgie, any more than Margaret Sanger is a topic that interests Sedgie.
Nice little hackle farm you've got there. Be a shame if anything happened to it. ~Reph

The subject was chosen precisely because someone might be offended by it, and not because this is a topic that particularly interests Sedgie, any more than Margaret Sanger is a topic that interests Sedgie. As Sedgie says, he wanted to push the envelope and he succeeded. It can be fun to rattle people a bit and watch them shriek, but it obviously has its downside.Sedgie didn't really want to offend Susanne or Lillian to this great an extent and he clearly values their friendship and conversation on the board and he would like to put things right again. I hope that works out. Everyone here is well-meaning (well, most of the time). However Sedgie has said that there is more going on here than is obvious, so I don't know.

It would behoove you to realize that nothing good ever comes from it.
Ever notice that nothing good ever comes of it when someone uses the word “behoove”. There are horse grammarians that won’t go near the word.
There is more going on here than you think, Rob.
I certainly hope so. If I could contain within myself every possibility for the most envelope-pushing situations, I could open my own post office and mail myself to Ho Ho Kus, New Jersey. Besides, I haven't read a word of the thread in question. I looked at the pictures, but there are a lot of things that are equally shocking. I'm shocked that the ending of Lost was so lame. I'm shocked that Etty Hillesum found contentment in the Nazi camp where she was confined and murdered. I'm shocked that Thomas Pynchon is 73. I'll be shocked if I can't predict most of the plot twists in the new Stieg Larsson book. I'm shocked that Mark Wahlberg has made a career in movies instead of a possible doorman. I'm shocked that a song I wrote a couple years ago has elements of Jimmy Webb, Brian Wilson and Randy Newman all over it. I'm shocked that an hour before Sedgie posted about pushing envelopes, I mailed some.

I certainly hope so, and may I say it is a previous relief. I meant to type “previous relief” but previous relief is better cuz it makes me sound like I've got something on my mind.

You’re making a great deal of sense. This worries me because I was hoping to push the envelope, but it seems you’re the one with the stamps, the letter, so forth. Notwithstanding (the most pretentious word in English, except when people start talking about Jesus), I do think the subject interested Sedgie as much as any other. Sedgie likes the shiny bits. Sedgie didn't really want to offend Susanne or Lillian to this great an extent and he clearly values their friendship and conversation on the board and he would like to put things right again.
Sedgie has something special going for him. He’s one of those rare people – this comes across even over the Internet – where it’s hard to stay pissed at the guy for long. (This is turning into a Hallmark greeting card of a post, for which I profusely apologize to myself. Sorry Rob. You’re welcome.)
I hope that works out. Everyone here is well-meaning (well, most of the time). However Sedgie has said that there is more going on here than is obvious, so I don't know.
Maybe he’s thinking of opening up a FedEx. rob x envelope

I happen to like the word ' behoove', Rob. Although 'festooned' is really a cool word, but it wouldn't be appropriate here. There is more going on here than you think, Rob.Nah, not really. It is what it is.
