I am tired.  So this morning I spent in the attic (suited up with a mask) crawling over to the scene of the crime area.  I wanted to know exactly what was going on and I am rather flexible and small but the plumber was a bit nervous thinking I am a girly girl type. Once he knew I was okay with everything we worked on replacing the entire pipe with a different pipe.  It is a plastic plex.  Then six feet of dry wall was sawed out to remove the old copper pipe which I inspected throughly.  Indeed one could make out several areas that had been eaten away with more pinholes that were about to burst.  Welding and putting it all together.  I am working on having a few estimates for replacing all the pipes.

Then drywall guy came and I helped him replace the ceiling.  I like learning how to do these things and these guys have all the tools.

Lizzy, I sent your info link along with my research about the cloramine issue and copper pipe pinholes to my insurance guy who I spoke with at length about all the large claims the company is paying out.  I stated that the company should be looking into the actual problem with the water companies.  I am very insistent on my missions.  This just isn't right and many people have had the same thing happen.  Copper pipes are a big selling point for a home.  But if this chemical is going to continue to cause damages something should be done.  Why is that so hard for people to understand?  It is like they just think...oh well..why not stand up and say hey this isn't right when your home is damaged by a pinhole leak in a pipe.

Ugg...yep Lil this water issue is becoming a major pain in the ass.  But now I know why this happened.
