Splurge:

I saw your name on a previous post

What?!  Splurge, I'm used to you being oblique -- like a post-version of a Rubik cube.

But that's a little cause for concern.  Because (until a few posts up) I was convinced my name had never been posted anywhere that I didn't know about.  In particular that it hadn't been used in places like this, the TSMB, Ron's old board, or even Usenet (a.s.t.).  I've looked, but it's never shown up.

This kind of thing has been a hot-button issue since back when Jinglears outed Kathryn and Nagler published Esbeck's name (over which he left the internet for about a year).  Every so often some things just have real-world consequences.

Anyway, if you've run across anything that pre-dates the posts above on this thread, I'd like to know about it.

Not that it makes any real difference at this point -- but up to a few months ago, I knew the first thing a claims rep or opposing counsel would do after we got off the phone was hit the web for anything they could find on me.  If you've got something I don't know about, I'd like to at least know how I missed it. It's like patching a security breach.

MEANwhile -- as Splurge frantically searches his web-history )...

... I'm TEMPORARILY closing this thread to replies.  This thing is a matter of personal concern, we've had a new collection of "nicks" show up today, and I don't feel like having some officious interloper dicking around in here at the moment.  I got other stuff to do.

Almost forgot ... I didn't get the second part of your comment at all.  Until my g/f walked by the screen while I was typing this, snickered, and said "Yeah, in her dreams."

Oh. smiley: eyes  You people are strange.
