Oh your way with words beats everything and everyone, Inspector. smiley: smile

I won't discuss Jim's friendship with Nagler. That's not for me to do. Generally speaking, friendships can be very complex. Maybe that's what makes them beautiful.
At least that's the way I think they don't only consist of liking a person "because of" but more often a mix of "because of" and "in spite of".

I believe there's no person without flaws. Granted, some have more than others, but still, flaws are part of being a human being. I have friends that my other friends don't like, and I have friends that all of my other friends  like. However, as for those friends my other friends don't like, maybe I know something they don't. Or see something they don't.

I mean how many of us can honestly say that there's not sometimes "something" about our friends that drives us nuts? I could think of a couple of mine that would fit into that cathegory (as well as I'm sure I fit into such a cathegory myself!), but still they are my friends/we are each others friends "because of" and "in spite of", because the first outweighs the latter and because of all sorts of things in life. Chemistry perhaps. In lack of a better and less "over-used" expression. It's complex, and that's not necessarily a bad thing at all.
