I am amazed at the questions people should be asking their doctors, not mopes (including myself) on a support board. "Should I double my dosage of horribly addictive drug A?" "My leg is a bloody mass hanging by a thread. Should I have surgery to repair it when the anesthesia might aggravate my T"?

I agree with you, llilly. There is nothing wrong asking if someone has tried a particular medicine or if someone has a suggestion on how to cope with something, but using the board as some sort of substitute for a doctor or therapist is foolhardy. Why would I trust a bunch of strangers with my medical concerns? When I had thyroid cancer scare a few months ago and was undergoing tests. would I have asked the Support people "If it turns out to be cancer, should I have my thyroid removed? The thyroid meds I would have to take might increase my tinnitus."  No, I don't think so. Tinnitus would be the least of my concerns.
